Join us as industry and academic experts share practical tips to help you prepare for the 2020 ABP Southampton marathon at the ‘Meet the Experts’ event at Solent University on Tuesday 26th February from 5- 8.30 pm!
As the official education partner of the ABP Southampton Marathon, Half Marathon and 10k, Solent University will be hosting the ‘Meet the Experts’ event for the fourth consecutive year, offering participants the chance to learn more about how to prepare for the big day, as well as boost and sustain running performance.
Join us on Tuesday 25th February from 5pm in Solent University’s Spark building. Hear from industry and academic professionals sharing tips helping you prepare for all races, explaining how to enhance performance and help reduce the likelihood of injuries. Not only this but participants can also claim a free massage from the Sport and Exercise Therapy Students too!

The evening provides participants and the local community the opportunity to hear from academic and industry professionals helping them prepare for race day! Many staff, students and alumni will be involved with the ABP Southampton Marathon on the day, including providing free massages and running to raise funds for the Solent local student bursary scheme”.
The evening will consist of various interactive sessions, three short workshops and an opportunity for partners and participants to connect with each other ahead of the big day.

The ‘Meet the Experts’ event at Solent is one which will offer you academically relevant information and a good way to prepare for whatever event awaits you, it is also free for anyone taking part in the APB Southampton Marathon, Half Marathon and/or 10km races”
The ABP Southampton Marathon takes place on Sunday 26th April. It features a 10k, half marathon, full marathon and a children's fun run. All races start and finish in the heart of Southampton’s city centre with the run course taking in iconic local landmarks, including the Bargate, Itchen Bridge, Weston Shore, Riverside Park and the Common before reaching a stunning finish by the Guildhall in the city centre.
